YAY CAMERON WEBSTER! Cameron Webster, a fifth grade teacher at Trevvett Elementary, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at Trevvett.
YAYWORTHY:
Dr. Jasmine Williams, associate principal, said:
"Mr. Webster is a pillar of the Trevvett community. He started as a cafeteria monitor while working to obtain his undergraduate degree in elementary education. He then moved into a permanent substitute role, followed by board substitute, to a fully licensed fifth grade teacher! Our students and families absolutely love him. Mr. Webster builds positive relationships with all students through his relatability and humor. He builds relationships by volunteering many of his weekends during the fall cheering on various students in his class at their football games and cheerleading competitions. He has led morning clubs for students, worked with families to provide wraparound services and even had 95% of his class willingly join a live meeting on a snow day.
"Mr. Webster jumps in with a smile wherever he sees a need. Trevvett alumni and families are constantly coming back to visit Mr. Webster. He is a rock star!"
Thank you for all you do, Cameron Webster, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
