Principal’s Message

Dear Terrific Tiger Families,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am delighted that you have selected our school to educate, nurture, and inspire your child! As a parent of a fifth grade and kindergarten student, I want to make sure that all of our students have an experience that I desire for my own children.  While we maintain full accreditation and received our third Board of Educational Excellence Award, we are still challenging ourselves to meet the needs of every single student in our great school community. This year Henrico County Public Schools launched the Henrico Learner Profile, which provides a framework for learner-centered experiences. I am truly excited to lead Trevvett for a fifth year and transform our incredible instructional program to a more individualized approach to student learning. Let’s go Tigers!

To support our very important partnership, Trevvett provides a high level of communication and collaboration to ensure that our families feel welcome and confident in our program. These opportunities are noted on our school calendar, which is located on our website. Reminders about our calendar events will be included in the weekly “Tiger Tidbit” email.  Our teachers also maintain a blog and these classroom websites are updated weekly by Friday evening. Please subscribe to the blog to stay updated! An additional layer of communication is the Principal’s Newsletter, which will be sent home in the grey folder on the first school day of the month. Starting in October, this newsletter will also be archived on the Principal’s Page. If you prefer social media, you can follow us on Twitter-@Trevvett_Elem, like the PTO Facebook Page-TrevvettTigersPTO, and sign up for Remind to receive text messages to your phone. Our school website will be updated monthly to reflect important happenings. The website is equipped with a Parent Resource Page which includes helpful information like our School-Based Practices guide. We appreciate your support and want to make sure that you have the tools necessary to make this a great school year!

We have the privilege of spending 180 days with your precious child and your open and honest feedback  is important to us. Should you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, then please call me at school 804-261-5060 or  send an email to

Let’s have a Grrreat school year Tigers!

Paw Proud,

Principal Broudy
